Afternoon tea at Natya Resort Ubud is served in the open-air restaurant, with the tropical forest falling away below and the river audible somewhere under it.
The setting does most of the work. You sit above the canopy with a breeze coming through, birdsong in the background and Ubud town only minutes away but entirely out of earshot. The tea comes with a curated selection of sweet and savoury treats, plated with care and served without hurry.
It is a good way to break the heat of the afternoon, mark an occasion, or simply spend an hour with someone. Couples book it, solo travellers linger over it, and guests here for the wellness side of Ubud tend to treat it as the calm point of the day.
The table settings and the jungle backdrop also happen to photograph beautifully, from the teapots to the handmade desserts. Tag @natyaresortubud if you share it.
